Lay Leadership

"Sharing in the function of Christ, priest, prophet and king, the laity have an active part of their own in the life and activity of the church.  Their activity within the church communities is so necessary that without it the apostolate of the pastors will frequently be unable to obtain its full effect." Decree on the Apostolate of the Lay People #10

Communication, Council or Committee Formation, Leading Change and Pastoral Planning are all aspects of lay leadership.  Whether it be acquiring the skills to deal with confrontation and conflict, learning the perspectives of the Church on the work of councils or committees through document study, developing the spiritualities that enable change in ways similar to Jesus or creating a plan to move the parish forward, lay leadership and development make the difference!
